Community Programs & Services

Region of Waterloo Seniors' Services offers programs and services to support healthy aging.

They include:

  • Community Alzheimer Programs to support persons living in the community with memory loss and their families.
  • Convalescent Care to help people who have been ill in hospital or have undergone surgery and need temporary, interim care before returning home.
  • Respite Care to give caregivers a break from looking after a fragile friend or relative.
  • Homemaking Services  funded homemaking services such as housekeeping and meal preparation to support independence and housing stability.
  • Young Onset Dementia Association  YODA brings together people who are living with younger onset dementia to learn, socialize and explore new talents.
  • Wellness Centre professional services to support health aging including fitness programs, physiotherapy and much more.

  • Supportive Housing  provides housing for older adults with rent subsidy and onsite support
