Open to Ontario Works clients, this program offers older workers current skills and tools to find work in today's marketplace.

Planning for Employment

For Ontario Works recipients who need assistance determining their goals and direction.

Participants in this four-week (half days) program identify their skills and strengths, set employment goals and develop a plan of action for gaining employment. For more information, view the Planning for Employment brochure.

Employment Coaching

  • Open to anyone in the community who is job searching.
  • Talk to an Employment Coach.
  • One-on-one help is available with an Employment Coach who can assist you with any of your career planning and job search needs.
  • This drop-in service is available Monday through Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. at three Employment Resource Centres.
  • No appointment is necessary.

Focus for Change

  • Up to 16 weeks, five hours a day.
  • Open to woman seeking employment or further education.
  • Participants may get help with transportation and child care costs.
  • Contact your Caseworker for a referral or call the college directly.
